The Accountability, Assessment, and Technology team hosted a Personalized Learning Panel and Workshop on January 24, 2017, for educators across the region. The event focused on the key question: What does personalized learning look like in the areas of STEM, Literacy, English-language acquisition, and Special Education?

Attendees focused on the roles of technology and project-based learning with a panel discussion of Tukwila experts. They participated in breakout sessions for deeper discussions and sharing.

Many thanks to our panel participants: Vivian Palmer, Executive Director of Accountability, Assessment, and Technology; Ronnie Belle, Director of Accountability and Assessment; Theren Hayes, Instructional Technology Specialist; Clint Long, Assistant Principal at Foster High; Joan Lawson, Director of Special Education; Teodora Bordeanu, Assistant Principal at Cascade View Elementary, Dr. Nancy Coogan, Superintendent; and Dr. Judith Berry, Deputy Superintendent.

They culminating event was a presentation from a local charter school, Summit Learning, sharing implementation strategies for Personalized Learning.
