Katrina Dohn, Math Interventionist at Cascade View Elementary was awarded the 2017 Washington State Director’s Community Leadership Award by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) (Appendix B). Ms. Dohn was honored at an awards ceremony held at the Seattle FBI Field Office. Each year, each field office accepts nominations, and then selects one individual who has made a significant difference and contribution to their community, reaching out and building relationships, and helping the community to be a more positive place. The belief is that the more people are doing building connections and relationships through volunteering and working on projects to better the community, the more it will help decrease negative things such as crime and violence. In April, Ms. Dohn will be recognized along with other recipients at a national awards ceremony at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Pictured below is Ms. Dohn receiving the award from Jay Tabb, Director of the Washington State field office of the FBI. Congratulations Katrina!
